US Students offered Healing Touch during exam week

Greenwich High School, Connecticut, offered a unique programme that it hopes will benefit students during one of the most stressful times of their school life.

Exam time can be one of the most stressful experiences for any high school student, but now Greenwich High School, Connecticut has started a unique programme that it hopes will benefit students as they study.

The school’s Headmaster Chris Winters informed students that there will be some rather unique ‘hands on’ help with mental preparation for the exams.  As part of a partnership with the hospital, Greenwich Hospital’s Integrative Medicine Program will send volunteers to the school to offer Healing Touch relaxation sessions to the GHS students during exam week.

Dr Winters said that this is a free service and available to all students. In his letter to students he said he hoped that it would relieve some of the stress students experience during exams.

Do any UK schools offer this kind of service?
