CHO & Education - an overview
While many consider healing to be a gift or an innate ability and not something that can be taught, we firmly believe that there is a need for healers to provide a safe, legal, competent and professional service, whether working directly with the public or within mainstream healthcare. A high standard of training is essential to this, which is why we have jointly developed and strongly advocate the adoption and use of the Core Curriculum for Healing as an agreed standard for the provision of training in healing.
As with many professions and certainly any work within the world of healing, ongoing education is essential to ensure that healers are kept up to date with the latest healing best practice guidelines as well as their own personal growth and development. The CHO Continuing Professional and Personal Development (CPD) programme has been established to provide this. In addition to covering a wide range of relevant topics, our CPD events provide an opportunity for healers to meet, network and share ideas and encouragement with fellow healers from different organisations.
